家国情怀是支撑个体事业的基础。新年伊始，恰逢中共四大召开百年之际，监狱团委组织青年民警前往中共四大纪念馆、李白烈士故居等红色纪念地，通过深入了解党的发展历史和李白烈士的动人事迹，教育引导青年民警厚植家国情怀，把对党忠诚镌刻到脑海里。

奋斗是青春最亮丽的底色。1月14日，监狱党委在上海市团校召开党委中心组（扩大）学习会，会议期间民警参观了上海市团校“中国共产主义青年团与上海”主题展陈，沉浸式体验了“一江一河 红色航程”之“东方之珠：穿越浦江解码上海现代化”现场教学，直观感受到了新时代上海浦江两岸的现代化建设成果，实地见证了上海“吃改革饭、走开放路、打创新牌”的奋斗历程，让青年民警切身体会到了上海在推动新时代高质量发展中的改革精神与创新精神，有效激发了参会民警“逢旗必夺、奋勇争先”宝山监狱精神，也更加坚定了维护平安上海的信心与决心。

青年应当练就过硬本领，锤炼高尚品格。1月中旬，监狱以“学习先进典型，争当时代先锋”为主题，开展与“新时代上海司法为民好榜样”面对面，“十大身边典型人物”刘和政同志和五角场监狱青年民警刘磊同志先进事迹专题学习等系列活动。同时，监狱党委专门出台《宝山监狱新警岗位成才三年培养规划》，打造“一年跟着干、两年能单干、三年成骨干”的青年人才梯队。通过聆听先进榜样的奋斗故事，完善培养机制，进一步教育引导青年民警，向榜样学习，向先进看齐，努力成为一名与时俱进、实干担当的新时代监狱人民警察。
