桑榆虽晚，为霞满天。他常说“我是北新泾人，我的根在新泾，我的情怀在新泾，我的奋斗目标也在北新泾。”有着近40年警龄的徐伟，在法治监狱建设的征途上，初心不改、深情依旧，书写着北新泾监狱的法治故事。

徐伟的电脑里，曾经手的一份份资料分门别类、整整齐齐存在电脑硬盘里。他说，“每一次操作手册的重新编制就是一次规范执法的高质量升级。”2024年，他牵头编制了30多万字的《三基工作实务操作手册》系列丛书5.0版本。这次修订以深化两级管理为契机，从主管民警、条线警务组、楼面警务组、监区四个层面优化设计，将规范性制度转化为更接地气、更具操作性的实战工具书。

今年，监狱正式为“老法师”工作室挂牌。徐伟作为“老法师”工作室的负责人，始终站在全面依法治国的大背景下研发课程，主动将改造经验与法治理念相融合，通过生动的案例让民警学有所得、学有所思、学有所悟。
楼面警务组警长周晓枭听完课仍沉浸在精彩的案例中，他说，“有关于程序合规的案例给我触动很大，执法过程中不仅要追求实体合法，程序合规也是检验执法质量的重要标准。回去后，我还要把这个精彩的案例分享给我的同事。”

在罪犯矛盾纠纷化解方面，徐伟展现出了非凡的耐心和智慧。面对服刑罪犯杨某重复来信，他从走访罪犯湖北老家到主动联系沟通市帮教协会、司法所、派出所、律所，构建起共享共商共治的矛盾化解新格局。“你要听政府警官的话，不要再瞎折腾了，你儿子都已经20岁了……”杨某父母在徐伟的指导下，安装上了远程视频会见APP，看到了多年未见的儿子杨某。在亲情和法理的共同作用下，杨某带着对父母和孩子的悔恨，开始了踏踏实实地改造。
